My first love. But.....

I come home everyday from work and just sit down and relax in front of the T.V and listen to music on Sky (Austar for those of you in Aus) and I would like to comment on how great pop music is at the moment thanks to one centain Female.

Dont get me wrong...My first love will always be Heavy Metal.... nothing will ever be as good as that genre, but, I have always been a fan of all styles, and of late I have been getting sick to death of Pop cause it all sounds the same and the videos are all just as crap and I'm so over all the Rap crap thats out there and even worse still....all that crappy dance and techno that has no real skill in it cause all they do is find a famous old song and remix it and speed it up and there you have it.. a dance track that for some reason or another... goes straight to the top ten.

So.... I was starting to like this one female artist of late...besides PINK... (She is number one) cause this new artist is really making pop music interesting again. Her songs are different and catchy and her dress sense is out there and I love seeing her singing live on Tv, on shows like the Grammys and AMA awards. She brings something totally new to the scene and its shaking the music world up and kicking the music worlds ass.

So, Lady GaGa is the one who is doing all this and I love her..... Her music is great. Her attitude is great. Her song writing skills and singing ability is to die for also. And get this....she is one of the few female artists who can sing and dance at the same time.... wow...who would of thought a singer had to do that. Yes Brit...Im talking about you you dumb ass...and all the female artists who come on X factor.

LG's new song Bad Romance is awesome.... just took herself to a new level with that song and for that I think its going to start making some other ladies in the business pull there fingers out and start to improve. (beyonce is not one of the ones Im bagging. She is awesome also.)

But..Metallica still rule.

Sadness is kicking in....

Ok...Im sad.... But not in the sad way that brings tears to ones eyes. But sad as in look at what I have become.

I cant believe I can be so addicted to this whole new world of Blogging. Is it really possible to get addicted to this stuff. I got over Myspace ages ago...but still I wont cancel the account cause now I only use it for music and band updates. Facebook was starting to shit me so I dont do alot of status updates anymore because I just dont think, me, telling everyone I just had a bowl of strawberries for dinner is important or interesting or that the man on the train today was reading over my shoulder so I turned to him and said " just let me know when your finished and I will turn the page for us both" would make interesting reading.

But blogs....come on....I have read a few...there are a few I follow ( you know who you are) and for some reason I look forward to getting home from work just so other people can amuse me. And so far that has happened on more than 10 occasions.... more than 20 occasions...more than I have a number for. I just get so excited to see what people are up to. I love the way people write and tell their stories. I love the pictures people put up to help tell a tale. And best of all.... I love it when I get another Follower...I have 5 now... how cool is that...I just cant begin to imagine how high I will jump when I reach 6....even better still... 7. wow.... I so look forward to those days.

Flaming London Life.

Well I didnt think I would be blogging this ever, but tonight as I was sitting on the couch and having a drink of JD.....on ice....not that that is important...but I dont want to leave anything out, and I was watching Friends.... the episode when Ross asks Emily to marry him...so funny...Ross really should look into why he cant be alone and has to be married all the time... maybe his Dad has something to do with it and the way he was raised....maybe they had a distant relationship that really affected him as a child and now he cant stand to be alone.... but anyway....where was I......ah yes.....watching Friends...... I was comfy and was in deep rest mode and I all of a sudden I coughed and as I did I looked up towards the ceiling and low and behold all I could see was smoke....about a foot deep moving slowly across the ceiling to the front of the house.... so I jumped up to see what was going on and as I turned to start to walk to the kitchen (the kitchen being the room that 81.4% of where all fire's start in a typical house hold) I saw the back bedroom wall was not looking like it normally does... but this time it was a wall of fire.... I walked to the room and looked inside it and the whole back wall and ceiling was covered with flames to which in turn made me yell out FIIIRRREEEE..... just so Lexie and Greg new that the back room was being decorated in a flame look much to our dissapproval.

So then I jumped into gear and started to remember my Fire Training from my old Movie World days.....for starters...which fire extinguisher do I use.... so I thought for a quick second what started the fire and I knew right away it must of been the lamp so I knew it was electrical but since the fire was already in full blaze I just turned the lamp off and since we dont even have a fire extinguisher in the house the training went out the window anyway, so I ran to the kitchen and filled up the first thing I could find with water, a shot glass, but then remembering it was the whole back wall of our house...not the Hamsters house...I knew that would not be enough so I filled up a cooking pot and went and tackled the fire with good old H2O.

During this time Greg had knocked on the neighbours house asking them to call the fire brigade not realising he had his own mobile in his hand and that even though Lexie was screaming and could not come down the stairs at first because she couldnt see them anymore due to there being so much smoke, once Lex had got down stairs in only her robe ,and only with what she could grab in time...her handbag....(passports are not that important apparently) she managed to get outside and call the fire brigade anyway.....Greg came back and passed me in the hallway with a pot also full of water..... and left over scrambled eggs he had just cooked and was stuck in the bottom of the pot....what a look that is when you show the firemen what you use to tackle a blazing house fire.

So.... By this time the Blaze was under control....the two pots of fresh water that I threw at the blaze and the one pot of fresh watered scrambled eggs that Greg threw on the fire had put it out but the smoke was a issue so as Lex and Greg retreated to the outside world I opened windows and doors and then retreated also outside.

The Fire Brigade showed up and went through the house and checked it all out to make sure it would not start up again by pouring more water over the already newly decorated back wall and then went on to ask questions and give us a lesson in fire safty, even though they were pretty happy with what Greg and I had done.. saying next time hold off on the eggs. ....and also, the way Lex was dressed was pretty good for them, but they then put in a smoke alarm for us and will bring another one tomorrow to put upstairs. Thankyou Mr Fireman.

Now all I have to do is go tell the landlord.....but that should be alright also due to the fact that the are pulling the whole house down to re build next year. Phew. But still..... James...the guy who just moved into the room.... now has to sleep on the couch until I make the room presentable again to sleep in and he also just hung up two suits which now all that remain are two hooks from the coat hangers. That will teach him. London life is flaming fun.

Sunday's

So it is Sunday thank goodness. The only day of the week that we are officially allowed to rest due to the fact that it says so in the Bible. So that is what we are all doing. It's rainy outside, it's cold outside and very dull looking and this is what we all have to look forward to from now until March 2010. (That was the first time I have ever written 2010....I still remember Y2k....How time flies)

So while everyone in the house including the one visitor we have for the day are playing the new Disney Trivia Wii game that I just discovered was for people aged 3 and up..(lol) I'm sitting at the table listening to them all complain how shit the game is and how it has not got alot to do with Disney after all. Well at least I am laughing....but only at them, I thought I would continue my Blog with a new post about the place i currently call Home......LONDON.

A week later.....

My partner and I have been here now in London since June the 11th, 2007. The day we arrived was a huge shock and that's because when we finally got out of the airport and onto the train, and we were heading into the city centre, we went past rows and rows and rows of old, small, run down and dirty looking house's and because we come from a beautiful place called the Gold Coast, well what can I say...we were tempted inbetween our thought's of what the hell have we done and who would live here on purpose to move back to the land of Oz. Well as you can tell, we didn't. We stuck it out and 2 and a half years later (like i said, time flies) we are still living in the old, small, run down and dirty place we now call home. But I do miss the Goldy and each day that goes by I seem to miss it more. But I'm not sure if that is because I have not been working for a fortnight and I have way to much time to think and since I'm inside all day cause it is cold out I have put myself in a missing home kind of mood. Or...do I miss the sun and beach and not taking public transport everywhere and the lack of people in such a large area and NRL and Friends and Family. So who knows but for now I am here and I will keep doing what I am doing and supporting my partner while her carreer takes off and I will just go and see as many concerts as I can cause one great thing about London is that there are always great bands playing somewhere nearby and that for me is a gift. I think in 2009 I would have seen up to 30 to 40 bands play. It is awesome when that can occur. I do love my music.

So for now I will say Sayonara.

The Beginning

Hello one and all.

This as you will know is my first blog and first time (apart from my old Myspace page when that was the craze) that I'm going to write a blog (what does blog stand for anyway) (I will have to google that I think) so I hope for the sake of the readers who actually become viewers of Malachilli's Memoirs, that you find this post interesting and sometimes humorous and sometimes serious but most of the time just something to read when your bored of everything else that is on this whole world wide web thingy that we all seem not to be able to live with out anymore.

So for now I will go and start to let my mind wander with thoughts that will become my first real blog. And until that time come's I will let you know that the word blog means Web Log and blog was a shorter version of it that took off. I personally think it stands for Big Load of Gossip.
